Great set, but look for a sale!

This is my first Lego Advent Calendar product and I had a thoroughly enjoyable time going through the little compartments and building (most of) the contents. If not for the quite high MSRP, I would recommend this wholeheartedly to any Lego fan regardless of age. As it stands, the most I can say is TRY to save some money by finding this on sale and THEN it will be a good, fun buy.

Also: the minifigure selection is *chef's kiss* perfection! The new Teen Groot print is absolutely beautiful and full of detail, and the holiday sweater characters are a hit as always.

The "rocket sleigh" model which is spread across 3 different calendar days (4 if you consider the Rocket minifig part of it -- and 5 or 6 days if you count Rocket's blaster plus the turkey he cooks with it!) is an absolutely incredible idea for connecting these small, spread-out builds into a larger, more meaningful play experience. When I imagined the joy and anticipation a child would feel from opening 5 or 6 different days worth of builds, spread gradually through the month, and FINALLY after a few weeks being able to piece together the entire sleigh model, it made me want to pick up another of these sets for my own child to enjoy this holiday season. Unfortunately he is still too young, but it's definitely something I'll remember for the future!
Very disappointed

My son (24) and I (51) have been building Lego Advent calendars since they started years ago, I still have Santa in the shower from years back. When the Star Wars calendar was first released we purchased the Lego City for me and Star Wars for him and started to make a game of opening the calendar and racing to see who can complete their gift the fastest. (I lose 90% of the time.). This year we added the Guardians of the Galaxy and we’re incredibly disappointed. We are missing the last piece of the sleigh. In the slot for 23 was a repeat of what was in slot 3. In all our years of completing the advent calendars we have never had this happen. Sure, there have been some disappointing sets, but we have never seen this. The quality of the box has greatly diminished, we had to be very careful not to rip the boxes as we opened the doors.

As this has become tradition, I would hate to see the quality diminish, as we are avid Lego fans.
Disappointing

Been a Lego fan for an age and so are my young grandchildren. Have bought several Advent Calendars for the grandchildren over the years usually City or Star Wars but decided to treat myself this year to this one. The figures were fine and unlike others everything was there and not mixed up but build experience/value for money was totally rubbish. Most builds were just boring and consisted of printed blocks and/or a stack. In comparison to what my grand kids got in their Star Wars advent calendars (which both they and I were very pleased with) I was very disappointed in the content of this version. In the end I lost interest in doing it every day and left it until Christmas Eve to find out what the rest were. I can only say glad that it wasn’t them that received this version and certainly not a version I will be looking at again.
Poor value low effort set from Lego

Have collected Star Wars advent calendars for years and always had fun with them. A little expensive unless on sale but then Lego is not cheap. This year, thought I'd try something different. Firstly, the 6 minifigures are fantastic, for me something very different and well printed and most importantly, fun. Unfortunately the mini builds are small, boring and generally very uninspiring. The box artwork is also dull, no playscene to place each days build on, what are the coloured repetitive doors supposed to be? Infinity stones maybe? No surprise this set is heavily discounted, just ask yourself are 6 good minifigures worth the current asking price?
