The book was interesting. I think it's a good beginning to something more. The only way they could do a movie from this book is to do a massive re-write. While reading it, I had flashbacks to the computer game from the 90's called Myst, the style of writing is unique. It is good enough that I will eventually read the next book in the series.

Compelling read. Opening pulls you right in.

I got the this book because the movie left me with so many unanswered questions. The book is absolutely nothing like the movie. There is little to no similarities, BUT the book is phenomenal. I enjoyed the movie for what it was but I definitely liked the book better. I'm looking forward to reading the other two.

This book was very interesting. It had me feeling frustrated because of its vague narration. It was unsettling to be allowed to know so little at a time. This book has you raising so many questions.
