Good idea, poor execution
Wendy· Review provided by walmart.com · November 6, 2024
This is NOT up to Keurig's usual standards.
It was perhaps a good idea but with a very poor execution.
The top load pod feature is impossible to use without pulling the whole machine all the way out from under the overhead cabinets - so it would be suitable only for open counters.
The front load coffee basket is a good idea but it is way too small, so it overflows grounds every time, unless you only make a half pot or less - and then what's the point? The basket can be removed, but the basket holder cannot be removed for washing, so the spilled grounds are extremely difficult to clean up.
The coffee pot lid cannot be opened up to be washed well, and if you use soap it is impossible to rinse the soap out completely - now our pot coffee tastes like soap.
If you make a single cup, the cup is so far from the drip opening that the coffee splashes droplets out of the cup to over a foot away. What a mess.
I've owned a lot of different Keurig coffee makers, and mostly they have been great or pretty good. This one is way different.
The only feature that lived up to its promise was the reservoir - the magnetic lid really is a good idea, as is the choice of placing it at the side of the machine instead of the back.
Phenomenal!

Phenomenal! We have gone through trying many many coffee makers, including the super high-end very expensive ones and sent them all back because they either burnt the coffee or made weak coffee or the coffee was too hot, etc. I'm here to tell you this one is better than all of them! We love that you can set the machine to automatically make it for you at whatever time that you choose. We love that The k cup feature works perfectly and better than our dedicated Keurig k-cup that we had forever. We love that the reservoir has a handle, which is a total game changer! We love that You can change the position of the reservoir to customize it to your space. The coffee is perfect every single time and this insulated carafe keeps it hot from 7:00 a.m. until almost 2:00 p.m.! We were shocked since there is no mechanism that keeps it closed. As in, you don't have to push a button to open the spout. I appreciate that as there's nothing extra weird to clean that holds or creates mold and extra moisture. But I'm not sure how they did it! Also, the whole thing is just easy to clean all around. Truly phenomenal coffee maker and k cup maker! Wish we had got this to begin with!
Love it but…

I love that I can use a pod through the week and the carafe on the weekends when hubby’s home. It’s also takes up less space than my Keurig 2.0 did. There are a couple of issues. (1) After using a pod for my one cup of coffee, I have to open the filter area for ground coffee and empty the water out. I guess it’s from condensation from the hot pod water passing so close to it. (2) The unit slides way to easily for something that makes a hot drink and needs a better grippers on the bottom of it. (3) I miss the 4 cup selection not being available. After all coffee pods are used for the day, we always ran the lowest amount of water without a pod to clear the system of any fine coffee grounds from the pods. (4) The carafe top insert that has to be in place in order to use the carafe, doesn’t come apart for cleaning. There is built up in a coffee mug/cup that is only rinsed day after day and not washed with a dish cloth. I worry about this happening inside of this insert. We use a straw cleaning brush on the inside tube part but can’t get anything into the top portion of it. It needs to be redesigned for proper cleaning.
Great Carafe Coffee Maker

I wanted a coffeemaker that had a carafe and you could make a single cup of coffee and this Keurig worked for me. So far I have really enjoyed the carafe, it keeps the coffee fresh and hot for over two hours. The functions are easy to use when changing from auto brew to fresh brew or single cup. I did not give 5 star because the permanent filter leaves sediment in the coffee but if you use a paper filter everything is great. Have only used the k-cup once and had no problems so I'm hoping no issues in the future. I noticed when shopping for a coffeemaker with a single brew that a lot of reviews were not good. This Keurig coffeemaker had very good reviews so that's why I purchased it. Also, the water tank can be adjusted to make it easy to get to, which is a plus. And it's very easy to fill and clean.
