It’s ok
Bonebuds· Review provided by xtratuf.com · February 20, 2024
Got these as a present about 10 mo ago as my job regularly exposes me to blood and other fluids.

Waterproofing: They are fully waterproof as far as I can tell which is most important to me. I say as far as I can tell because my feet will get so sweaty in them my socks will be damp or frankly wet while I’m at work. To me it’s a relatively small price to pay and makes cleaning very easy.

Comfort: pretty comfortable even for wider feet. I can be on my feet all day without foot pain. They don’t have any arch support though so I’d be wary if that’s something you’re looking for. I love that I can slip these on and off super quick and easy.

Grip: good grip for wet indoor surfaces. Have not tested on a deck.

Durability: not great. Less than a year of not everyday use and the siding of the boot is separating from the rest of the boot. Also the outer shell is already cracked down to the neoprene rendering them no longer waterproof.

Bottom line: it’s an ok, functional boot but would probably explore other brands if you’re looking something longer lasting.
Boots were great....until they weren't

Disappointed in these boots. I was recommended these boots by lots of folks who work in wet tough conditions regularly. I bought them for light recreational use in wet weather, wet yard conditions on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Just barely out of the warranty period, I found out during a particularly rainy and windy day, the hard way, that these boots have developed cracks and holes all along the toe box. Thankfully, I was at the house and able to finish my tasks and get in and dry my feet off. Had I been on a boat/in the woods/basically anywhere else, I'd have been left with soaking wet feet in the middle of January. I loved these boots up until they failed. It's a shame that these boots that are geared toward blue collar workers barely lasted a year under light recreational use. Of course the warranty is only a year and now I'm left with a pair of boots to throw away and need to try to find a suitable replacement ASAP. Wish I could recommend these boots but at this point, I'd encourage you to look elsewhere.
Great for around the office :(

Sadly, like the last few reviewers, I had a similar problem with the toe-crease area of the boot cracking and failing after a few months of use. I'm a carpenter/tradesperson/all-weatherer and I loved these boots so much during their first two months in the rainy PACNW and SW England that I enthusiastically purchased a second pair. One was for work and the other for nasty weather tramping around and both pairs started to weaken, crack and then split after about 4-6 months of occasional to heavy use. Perhaps it has to do with the toe-kick being thicker than the rubber of the body which creates a stress point? Maybe it's poor quality rubber that can't withstand regular stress/use?

In a desperate attempt to extend wear-life I tried to repair the wound with flexible, industrial strength waterproofing rubber, but that, too, cracked within a week because of where the defect occurs. In theory I absolutely love these boots, but if they can't withstand the conditions they're manufactured and marketed for...well...it's not much of a boot at all for the price.

Again, very sad about the lack of durability. The defect in the rubber makes two pairs of otherwise perfectly good boots basically unusable in the kinds of conditions I purchased them for. Very very hesitant to purchase again, but those first three months are oh so sweet! I haven't contacted the company directly yet, but will post again if I receive any updates via customer service. Considering the most recent string of negative reviews I'd think they would want to reassure people that the purchase is worthwhile. I'm sure they'd last for years sitting in a closet or on a shoe-rack, but I don't have the money to test this theory!
Not very "Tuf"

For a brand literally called "xtra tuff" these are not very tuff! I bought these boots a little bit less than a year ago and already the rubber has started to separate from the neoprene stretchy material near the ankle. I'll add that I do not wear these regularly and then when worn, they have been used primarily for mundane activities in inclement weather and maybe a little bit of very light yard work here and there. They talk about being the 'alaskan sneaker' and built for professionals so pretty disappointing that they've started falling apart so quickly and after minimal use! I have reached out to their warranty team but they have been very slow to respond and it is still unclear if they will honor the warranty.
