August 25, 2024I wear Carhartt heavyweight t-shirts every day for work and everything else I do. I have about 30 or so of them at a time and the original ones I bought, probably 25 years ago, all fit exactly the same and were very comfortable. I usually order about 10 at a time and the last 2 times I got the shirts, a lot of them fit differently. All being the same size and all being 100% cotton, some were baggier than others, the material felt different from one shirt to another, and the collars were bigger and lost their shape and stretched out to easily. Like a lot of American companies that start out great and win the loyalty of its customers, with great quality the way I believe Carhartt has, I would hate to see them go the way of a lot of American companies that only look at the bottom line and cheapen their products. I really don't think I'll ever switch to another company, however, I hope my next order is a little more consistent. Please pay attention to what you've always done best, Quality clothing for the worker. Thank you. Enjoy your day.
Not anything close to what it was before the change

May 21, 2024Carhartt has caved with a reduced quality shirt and an ultra-confusing sizing system. I did like and purchase many of the K-87, REGULAR fit shirts. For some unknown reason they no longer make the Regular fit and switched to lose and relaxed fit. I have called customer service many times to find out which size is most comparable to Regular fit. At first, I couldn't get an answer, they were unsure. Later on, I tried again and received conflicting answers each time I called. I did purchase the lose fit which fit nothing like the regular. The material feels thinner, and the neck area is a lot bigger than the regular fit. Shirt looks sloppy and is now uncomfortable.
Discountinued Colors are fairly bad. But shorts are still quality

April 3, 2024The shirt is great. I used to always gets these at Bob's store for 9.99 on sale. So I love the shirts. But these discontinued colors and regular prices, can be beat at Bob's. I've found eBay sellers selling new Carhartt items, shorts, short & long sleeve, pants of all kinds at an average of under 10 a piece. It says pre-owned. But I'd swear the stuff is brand new. Often the only prob is a faded tag or something near unnoticeable. I don't know if they're QC rejects or what. But I just bought all the Carhartt gear I could need for the next 3 years before it all turns into work cloths.
I do love Carhartt. Been a Fan since the early 90s. Dad was a welder and my 1st jacket was a chocolate colored button down heavy jacket. Had to have buttons so I didn't have a welding grape get on and ruin the zipper. That Coat lasted from the time I was 12 and wore it until my late 20s. And my current winter zip up, has to be vintage. Got that one in my mid 20s. And it's holding up better than 2 newer ones
[Rewarded Review] Oversized & baggy

December 12, 2024Runs way too big and it's too baggy. Material is OK but make you hot/sweaty in the summer time. These shirts were designed for people with a high BMI. Get at least 1 size smaller! I am 6'1 180 lbs and always wear Large. These Large shirts fit me like a big loose dress hanging way too low, and well past the groin area. Wife screamed "take that off!" when I tried the first one on. Also the neckline is a bit wide even in the Medium unless you are a body builder (or very heavy) and can fill it. Gave all 3 Lg shirts to my nephews who are 6'3 and 6'4. It fits them better length-wise, but still looks loose and baggy on them since they are athletic and not big around the waste.
