Though the good old days of rolling up to the mall with your friends and heading straight for Wet Seal are, sadly, fully over, that doesn't mean you can never shop those trendy yet affordable clothes ever again. After a brief hiatus during which all of its physical stores closed and the website went dark, Wet Seal came back from the dead as an online-only store last November. This month, the good news just keeps getting better for Wet Seal fans: the brand launched a collection of exentened size clothing, ensuring that just about everyone can partake in their cute clothes and incredible deals.
The new Plus & Curve collection, which officially dropped on the brand's website on July 19, comprises nearly 200 items, most of which come in sizes XL to 3XL, and all retailing for less than $50. The extensive line ranges from a one-size-fits-all black sports bra for just $9, to a distressed denim jacket (available in black or traditional blue) for $42. In between are bodysuits, dresses, work pants, cardigans, blouses, shorts, and more, all featuring trendy silhouettes, prints, and details, and all, again, amazingly affordable.
According to Cosmopolitan, Wet Seal prioritized bringing back its popular plus and curve collection after countless fans requested its return and helped crowdsource the new designs. Along with the launch of the new collection, the brand also launched its #WetSealGetsReal campaign last week, which aims to empower followers by sharing inspiring stories of self-love on Instagram.
Though some shoppers were disappointed that it took Wet Seal several months after relaunching to release a plus-size collection, other fans of the brand seem to be pretty thrilled with Wet Seal's latest, taking to Twitter and Instagram to share their excitement about the Plus & Curve collection. "Wallets not ready but i am," one person commented on one of the collection's latest Insta posts, while another added, "Yyyyyeeeesssss!!!! I'm so excited missed you."
