It's been two months since your favorite mall spot, Wet Seal, announced they were closing shop. Since then, the brand has begun shuttering their storefronts and now, the website too, has come to an end.

Instead of their usual stock of lacey tops and neon flip flops, the site is now just a devastating goodbye letter to fans. It reads: "Thanks babe, it's been real... It has been an honor to provide the most driven, passionate and empowered girls the latest in fashion for the past 55 years."

Put down your tissues, though, because there might be a silver lining. The note continues, saying: "Your dedication and loyalty has us working on a new and improved Wet Seal. Continue to check us out and in the coming days we'll share what's ahead."

The site also notes that this is just a "small (but necessary) break," implying Wet Seal will rise from the ashes once more – possibly as an online-only store.

Fans are noticing, too, asking the beloved retailer if they just ripped our hearts out for no reason.

No word from Wet Seal yet – their social media accounts have been inactive for three weeks – but, this post will be updated with any news.
