Rolex Daytona Rainbow - Considering one of the most colourful, funnest, and playful modern watches, the Rolex Daytona Rainbow comes in three different models: rose gold (116595RBOW), yellow gold (116598RBOW), and white gold (116599RBOW). The yellow gold and white gold Daytonas were released in 2012 before the rose gold reference in 2018.

The rose gold is set with 47 sapphires: 36 baguette-cut sapphires decorate the bezel in Rainbow colours, and 11 additional colourful sapphires serving as the hour markers. In the yellow gold and white gold version, there are only 36 baguette-cut sapphires on the bezel and eight brilliant-cut diamonds serving as hour markers. 

In all models, the fun doesn't stop here because there are still 56 brilliant-cut diamonds sitting on the lugs and crown guards. I also should mention the crystallization on the sub-dials giving them a shimmering finish; thus, we can see the white gold, rose gold, or yellow gold crystals.

The watch is currently selling between $500,000 to $700,000 (or probably more) on the secondary market, depending on which model. The rose gold reference has the highest market price.

I'm sure people are saying that this timepiece looks childish and ridiculous, but personally, I do like this rainbow watch.

 Now, let's see which celebrities were seen wearing this unadulterated luxury on their wrists.

Adam Levine, the lead singer of the Grammy award-winning band Maroon 5, is another avid watch collector with a penchant for vintage Rolex watches. 

From my observation, most of his watches are the Daytonas, both vintage and modern. This rose gold  watch is among the modern Daytonas seen on his wrist. This just gave me an idea to write about Levine's watch collection. 

Almost at the end of 2021, Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic who currently belongs to AC Milan, was seen hanging around with the Serbian tennis star Novak 'Nole' Djokovic at the tennis ATP Finals in Turin, Italy. Interestingly, as you can see in the picture, we can see those two wear two different watches. 

We can see a rose gold Rolex Daytona Rainbow on Zlatan's wrist, while a Hublot is on Nole's wrist. Well, what should I say...The footballer's Daytona makes the tennis star's Hublot look boring in comparison.

The French professional football player plays as a forward for La Liga club Atletico Madrid Antoine Griezmann. The funny thing is the modern colourful watch looks matches Griezmann's wrist with his classic 70's look. I say 70's because his vibe reminds me of David Hasselhoff (or it was probably just me?) 

Do you still remember the Kevin Hart Academy Award controversy in 2019, where the comedian was supposed to host the 91st Oscars? Due to controversy and backlash from homophobic tweets he posted about ten years ago, he decided to step down from hosting the Academy Awards. After this event, Hart was invited to come to Ellen DeGeneres Show, and during the interview with Ellen, he was spotted wearing the rose gold Rolex Rainbow watch. I think this was his way of apologizing publicly for what he did.

While invited to be a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2019, the American rapper, singer, and songwriter Austin Richard Post, known as Post Malone, was seen wearing the Daytona 116595RBOW. He got out of his comfort zone with that formal outfit, didn't he? 

During the London premiere of the movie Daddy's Home 2 in November 2017, the movie casts Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell along with their co-stars Mel Gibson and John Lithgow hit the festive red carpet at Vue West End, London. Mark Wahlberg was seen wearing a simple outfit:  a black tee with his dark blue jeans. However, the watch on his wrist makes his outfit look elegant. Yes, that is the rose gold Rolex Daytona Rainbow watch.

Arriving In Saudi Arabia in January 2022, the former Spanish football player for Barcelona; Gerard Pique, who has been a trending topic due to his break up with Shakira, was spotted wearing the rose gold Rolex Daytona Rainbow 116595RBOW.

American TV presenter, comedian, actor, broadcaster, author, and businessman Steve Harvey who, in my humble opinion, became the unlikely god of dad fashion, was seen wearing the yellow gold Daytona Rainbow. 

Can you notice the differences between this version and the rose gold? Here, a total of eight additional brilliant-cut diamonds are placed for the hours markers, with Arabic numerals applied to the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions. The Rolex crown is serving as the 12 o'clock marker. This setting is also applied to the white gold version 116599RBOW. 

Retired footballer David Beckham is, in my humble opinion, the most well-dressed sportsman. Every time you see him, he is sharply dressed. His taste in fashion just on another level, seriously! Talking about fashion, he also has great taste in watches. In the picture, he wears the yellow gold Rainbow Daytona, similar to Steve Harvey. The rainbow watch Rolex undoubtedly sharpens his look. 

Another yellow gold Daytona was seen on the football star Cristiano Ronaldo's wrist. However, his Daytona is not 100% similar to Steve Harvey's or Beckham's Daytona. As we can see in the picture posted on his mother's Instagram, Ronaldo's Rainbow Daytona is set with the beautiful mother of pearl dial instead of the standard black colour. I think the dial and the rainbow bezel are such a perfect combo! 

Singer John Mayer, also famous as an avid watch collector, loves Rolex Daytona. He was seen wearing the white gold version of the Rolex Daytona Rainbow that, in my opinion, matches his shirt during his spicy chicken wings challenge on YouTube. Joining Ed Sheeran on stage in August 2023, singer Macklemore was spotted wearing a rose gold Rolex Rainbow Daytona. 

Watching at the Tennis US Open in September 2023, Miami Heat basketball player Jimmy Butler was spotted in the crowd wearing his yellow gold Rolex Daytona Rainbow.

American music produced and also known as watch collector with an insane watch game, DJ Khaled, owns the rose gold Daytona Rainbow. I wouldn't get surprised if he would own the other two references LOL!

Celebrating the New Year's Eve 2024, Argentinian football player Lionel Messi was spotted wearing the yellow Gold Daytona Rainbow.
